Ian, owner and chief operator of Cowichan Valley Excavating Ltd., brings over 30 years of industry experience. Ian is a trade-certified heavy equipment operator. He began his career at 18 building logging roads, and operating excavators, drill rigs and gravel trucks.
His skills extended into civil and industrial construction, with major projects like Bear Mountain and the ExxonMobil Pipeline. Ian taught heavy equipment operation internationally in South Korea, and locally throughout BC. Prior to establishing Cowichan Valley Excavating Ltd. Ian gained experience with municipal public works, including utilities and equipment operations.
